Last week we celebrated our team's accomplishments at our Quarterly Town Hall. Q2 Theme? Beach Party! ☀️ Prior to the meeting, we sent along packages filled with an array of summer goodies for a little surprise to kick off the day!

July and August are extremely tough months to keep your employees engaged, and may be even more challenging after a year of being stuck at home. Promoting flexibility, encouraging your team to use their PTO, and making meetings FUN are just a few ways that we keep our team engaged all summer long. What are your tricks?!


1. Don't Fall Flat...Stand Out

DE&I is on the top of everyone's mind - and rightfully so! Employers are finding ways to provide training, including diversity in their recruiting efforts, and making it a core focus for their talent planning. The job description is the first impression a candidate receives about the company, so it's important to immediately make an impact. 3. Updated I-9 Receipts Guidance

The U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services released updated guidance on what is allowed for identification, in place of a "List A, B, or C" document. This article breaks down the three acceptable receipts that an employee can provide instead. Make sure you are compliant in your organization and check it out!


4. EEOC Provides Guidance Regarding LGBTQ+ Employees

TheEEOC backed a recent Supreme Court case, Bostock v. Clayton County, to agree that discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity is a form of sex-based discrimination, prohibited by Title VII. While it doesn't impact employers' law obligations, it gives insight into how the EEOC interprets the law. This XpertHR article breaks down how this will affect employers and their LGBTQ+ employees.
