Welcome to September!
Today marks a very special day for us...it's our 14th BIRTHDAY! What a year and the past 14 years have been amazing. Thank you for either being a client, a colleague or a friend of the firm. We wouldn't be here without YOU. Happy Birthday to US! 🎉
More good news to share! We are very fortunate to make the Inc. Magazine's 5000 List of America's Fastest-Growing Private Companies for the second year in a row! This achievement would not be possible without our phenomenal team, clients, strategic partners, and friends!
1. Hybrid- Talent & Performance Boost
The global pandemic will have a significant impact on the workforce for the foreseeable future. As employees have become accustomed to working from home, the future of work will more than likely come in the form of a hybrid office. As HR and talent leaders, there is no longer a geographical limitation for candidates, creating a much larger talent selection. We thought you might enjoy this article from HR Executive!
2. Re-Evaluating Employee Benefits
The hybrid workplace is creating emphasis on organizations re-evaluating their employee benefits. For some, it means expanding benefits and making others less of a priority. Offering flexibility, increasing child-care benefits, and expanding senior-care offerings are some ways organizations are re-evaluating their employee benefits. The Wall Street Journal had a great article about this topic!
3. Setting Hybrid Work Boundaries
As companies are establishing their return to the office plan, many are striking a balance by having employees in the office two or three days a week and at home the remainder. Confirming remote expectations, communication with the manager, self daily check-ins, and reflection can help employees creating internal boundaries. What are you doing to check-in on your employees? Well Fast Company shares some great ideas here.
4. Growing Your Talent Pool
Trust us - we hear you. Talent is the name of the game! We are all struggling to find new talent.
In the competitive talent market, you need to step back, rethink your approach, create unique partnerships, focus on geography, offering reskilling opportunities, emphasize long-term success, and go back to school.
5. Boost Employee Productivity
In the wake of the COVID pandemic, employees have been through an onslaught of change.
How are HR leaders going to support employees to help them focus and cut out distractions?
This article from HR Morning helps us with that answer. By making the problem clear, focusing on what can be controlled, following the 7 to 7 rule, trying the 11-minute unplug, taking the post-it challenge, and shoring up communication . . . these are just a few tactics used to help employees cut out distractions and focus on productivity. Read the full article here.
6. Employee Well-Being
A survey through The Future Workplace 2021 HR Sentiment shares 68% of senior HR leaders rated employee well-being and mental health as a top priority. Employee well-being has expanded beyond physical well-being to focus on building a culture of holistic well-being including physical, emotional, financial, social, career, community, and purpose. Forbes just shared a great article to explain more!
7. Let's Go Local...
