The Connector: Edition 52

Cheers to 15 Years!
A note from our CEO & Founder, Marcia O'Connor
Sometimes I have to pinch myself when I look at where we started 15 years ago to launch The O'Connor Group.
I started out with a laptop, my cell phone, a very small office in my basement, and an old whiteboard. I had no clients that day and today we are grateful to bill over 130 clients a month. I didn't hire my first full-time employee until three years later and I am proud to say she is still with me today! We now humbly have 77 employees across the country. I didn't have an office for at least 5 years (okay, it might have been that Corner Bakery) but today we have a true office in King of Prussia and at the end of this year we will have offices in four states.
There have been great years, and very tough years but during each year, we continue to learn, grow, and prioritize our four core values - Collaboration, Execution, Curiosity, and Integrity (yes, we took those words and now have a purple squirrel mascot named CeCi - who takes more vacations than I do).
We live by our mottos - do the right thing and family first.
We are so grateful to win Inc. 5000, Philadelphia 100, Soaring 76, Best Places to Work, Healthiest Employers, Best Remote Employers, and many others.
BUT...it really ALL comes down to the PEOPLE that you surround yourself with and we truly have the BEST! We have tons of fun but we also work VERY hard.
Lastly, you need GRIT - failure was NEVER an option and you always have to keep your head up - even though we certainly had the days where that was very hard to do.
Thank YOU for being a part of this TOC family in one way or another over the past 15 years. Here's to not only the past 15 but the next 15 years. We are forever thankful to have YOU in our life! Happy 15 to TOC!!
