Did you know that on this day in 1929 Babe Ruth became the first player in the history of baseball to hit 500 home runs?! Pretty amazing. Check this out!

Every year, we have a fun team-building event at a Phillies game. Although we can't be there in person this year, we are rooting them on from the comfort of our own homes! Ahhh... the good old times!

Tip #1: Resources for Working Parents

As schools are beginning to go virtual or provide hybrid options, employers are beginning to worry about how their teams will home-school and produce quality work. Each week we will be providing resources to help YOU help THEM get through this. We are all in this together!

  • Sittercity is a great resource that connects families to childcare providers. Families can simply post a job for free, sitters apply, and then the connecting begins! They provide resources for parents and are offering 30% off promotion to join - don't wait!
  • At Home Academies caters to families who prefer virtual learning services and want a certified teacher to oversee their child's assignments in the comfort and safety of their own home. They have certified teachers with state clearances, and they service Delaware County and surrounding suburbs. Navigating your child's education has never been more difficult!
  • Check out these 101 Free Resources for Home-schooling during the Pandemic from the TODAY Show. This is absolutely PACKED with information to help you and your family adapt and thrive in the Fall!

Tip #2: Protect Your Employees at Work!

Have you created and implemented your COVID-19 Workplace Re-Entry Policy? If you haven't yet, it's time to put it on your radar before returning to the office. Be sure to have all of your employees sign off on the policy to make sure they understand how to keep themselves and their fellow employees safe. Need help writing this policy? We can easily get this moving for you - contact us today!

As we all know and have been taught, wearing a mask can reduce the risk of catching COVID-19. Although it can be uncomfortable, our ultimate goal is to do our part by stopping the spread. Check out this SHRM article that outlines the 6 Steps for Promoting Mask Wearing at Work.

Don't forget to stay up to date with the CDC Guidance. It changes often and they regularly add communication resources!

Tip #3: Wellness Tip - Create a Home Gym for Under $250!

Even though some gyms in PA are open, many of us still are not comfortable going or wearing a mask during the entire workout. This helpful article by the Philadelphia Inquirer tells you everything you need to create your own home gym for under $250! Workout equipment can be expensive, but after purchasing these products you’ll have what you need to meet your fitness goals. Not sure what to do once you get your equipment? Check out the latest and best at-home workout programs that deliver gym-level results!

Tip #4: Take a Trip to the Zoo!

Good news: the Philadelphia Zoo is open! Visiting the zoo is a great way to spend time with the whole family, get outdoors, and connect with wildlife. The zoo is taking every precaution to keep guests safe and is only open at 50% capacity. Make sure you wear your mask and reserve your tickets before you arrive!

The Elwood Park Zoo is having a Summer Sale! As part of a limited-time summer sale, all General Zoo Admissions are now $9.95! All tickets must be purchased prior to visiting. Click here to view their reopening policies - they are so organized and clean!

Need a fun activity while on vacation at the Jersey Shore? Check out the Cape May County Park & Zoo! Did you know that it is FREE to attend? They have done a wonderful job reopening safely and following CDC guidelines. We love this Zoo!

Tip #5: Open Air Restaurants on the Delaware River!

The Delaware River Waterfront just opened three new outdoor restaurants! River Beer Garden is on Race Street Pier and offers a large selection of beer and light bites! On Cherry Street Pier the Garden is open with seating for over 200 people in the 20,000 square foot space (great social distancing!). Lots of fun beverage options and a yummy menu of sandwiches, salads, and snacks! Lastly, at Spruce Street Harbor Park their floating restaurant called the Water Garden is open with a seasonal menu of drinks and food. Reservations are required for the Garden and the Water Garden. You won’t want to miss out on this fun Summer dining experience!
