Celebrating Our Company Anniversary!
Sep 28th, 2015
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US! The O’Connor Group celebrated our 8th anniversary during the month of September, and we are celebrating! As with anything, milestones often make us reflect on what has happened and predict what will happen in the future.
Back in 2007 the first iPhone was released, Miley Cyrus was still Hannah Montana and Bob Barker officially passed The Price is Right torch over to Drew Carey. Most importantly, The O’Connor Group was born! Over the years, my team and I have had our fair share of great clients, challenging clients, staff dinners, weddings, babies and graduations! I call it The O’Connor Group family and as they say, it is amazing how quickly time flies when you are having fun!
My vision was to create a company and environment where people loved coming to work every day and were passionate about what they were doing. My hope was to create consulting services that focused on quality rather than quantity and took great care in our clients and their candidates. Talent Acquisition and Human Resources are both vital parts of any business and my goal remains to help CEOs understand the types of talent and resources needed to help their businesses grow to its full potential.
I am so very thankful to have my team and I am so grateful that we operate as a unit. What makes a team so special is the different opinions and ways of thinking brought together. We challenge each other and are constantly thinking of ways to innovate our processes for clients and strategize our thinking. I love what I do and I love working with my team and my clients every single day!
As for the future, where is my crystal ball? I can’t predict the future, (if I could this blog would be a very different story) but if I had my guess, the iPhone will innovate beyond our wildest dreams, Miley will have a few more number 1 hits under her belt and hey, maybe I might win The Price is Right! But in all seriousness, the future has a lot in store for The O’Connor Group. I am a strong believer that our core values and strong team will propel us in the right direction.
As for right now, who would like some birthday cake?
