2. Effective April 1, California is set to raise the minimum wage of fast-food workers to $20/hr.

A new California state law is poised to boost the hourly wages of fast-food workers to $20 come April. Already, some eateries are making tough decisions like staff layoffs and reduced work hours to navigate cost challenges.

State records reveal that California restaurants, especially pizza places, are strategizing to trim down their workforce in anticipation of the April 1 wage adjustment. Additionally, other operators have either frozen hiring processes or are adjusting employees' schedules.

4. Women's Resource Center's Breakthrough Breakfast: Thursday, April 18th, 2024

Our very own, Meghan Popoleo, VP of Growth, has joined the WRC Board and is proud to lead in partnership with The O’Connor Group. WRC supports women in the greater Philadelphia area, this breakfast event helps to raise money for the Women’s Resource Center efforts that occur throughout the year. Kim Jenson will be featured in a fireside chat. Network with peers and enjoy breakfast all while giving to this incredible cause.

5. Henry A. Davidsen Suit Drive Challenge

This Spring, Henry A. Davidsen, Master Tailors & Image Consultants, is challenging Philadelphians and tri-state residents to declutter their closets and donate gently-used suits and business casual attire from April 8th to May 10th. Your donations will benefit The Wardrobe as part of their Suit Drive Challenge.
