The Connector: Edition 130
Nov 19th, 2025 | The Connector
Our team conference, Connect 2025, was truly spectacular. We gathered at the beautiful Union League Liberty Hill to learn, connect, and recharge, while also taking time to reflect on our accomplishments and look ahead with renewed energy and inspiration.
It was an incredible few days filled with collaboration, growth, and plenty of fun along the way.
1. Redefining Roles with AI
AI is rapidly becoming part of everyday business operations, with 78% of companies using it in at least one area—and many across several. While fears about machines replacing people persist, AI-driven automation has actually generated an estimated 97 million new roles, reshaping a labor market where humans and technology collaborate.
For entrepreneurs, this is a clear signal: don’t sit on the sidelines. AI is already reshaping business models, required skills, and competitive landscapes. The real challenge now is learning how to engage with AI thoughtfully and responsibly. Read the full article here!
2. Bridging the AI Divide: Why Leaders See Opportunity While Workers Feel Uncertain
Senior executives widely see AI skills as essential for long-term career success, but many employees remain unconvinced, according to a Nov. 12 Kelly Services report. While 69% of leaders say refusing to adopt AI is more dangerous to job security than the technology itself, only 47% of workers report time savings from AI, and 32% say they see no benefits.
Kelly CEO Chris Layden noted a “disconnect” between leadership optimism and employee experience. He said companies only realize AI’s value when workers understand why it matters, trust that it benefits their roles, and receive proper training.
A Mercer report found that worker anxiety grows when leaders fail to communicate about new tools. It recommends stronger manager training, AI upskilling, and psychological safety around learning. Read the full article here!
3. Build your AI Integration Framework
AI sits at the center of Sutherland’s business transformation services, and is becoming just as essential to the employee experience, says Chief People Officer Eric Tinch. But integrating AI into a 40,000-person, global organization isn’t as simple as flipping a switch.
To guide adoption, Sutherland built a cross-functional framework focused on ethical use, formal AI fluency training, and preserving the company’s signature “human touch.” Tinch, who joined in 2021, says one of HR’s earliest and biggest concerns was ensuring interactions with candidates and employees didn’t feel artificial or inauthentic. “Technology is an enabler, not a replacement,” he notes.
As Sutherland advances its AI strategy, the goal remains clear: drive efficiency and productivity while expanding reach—without losing the human connection at the core of its culture. Read the full article here!
