Understanding the EEO-1 Reporting Requirement Changes

We always like to keep you updated on changes that are happening in Human Resources, so we thought you would also like to know the following!
On August 29, 2017, the White House blocked the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s requirement for employers with over 100 employees to include W-2 income and employee hours when filing the 2017 EEO-1 Report. The new filing deadline for the 2017 report is March 31, 2018, however employers will only report what they are accustomed to file which is job category, ethnicity, race, and gender. All future EEO-1 Report filings must be completed annually by March 31. If your company pays biweekly, then it will need to use the same two-week pay cycle each year (Example cycle dates: October 16-27, 2017, October 16-27, 2018…). The EEOC website is currently updating their EEO-1 reporting link for 2017.
