2. A recent survey found that businesses that moved to a shortened work week saw revenue, productivity, and employee satisfaction rise during a six-month study.

3. The U.S. economy added 263,000 jobs in November, beating expectations. Average hourly earnings rose by 0.6% compared to October, yielding a 5.1% year-over-year increase.

4. The number of job openings slightly dropped in October however the number of layoffs remains near record lows.

5. The Federal Reserve increased its benchmark short-term interest rate by half a percentage point on Wednesday, rolling back recent large increases as it prepares to wrap up its aggressive drive to rein in spiraling inflation.
