There are so many current headlines surrounding the workplace, it's hard to keep up. To make this as easy as possible for you, Workplace Insights: What's Hot, What's Not, will provide you with the latest updates that may impact your organization as it relates to market trends and current industry insights.

  1. Market Watch: Wall Street's slowing down narrative faces a hurdle with jobs data. We might have to exercise patience for a little while longer to witness the much-anticipated Federal Reserve cuts.

  2. How AI Might Impact The Job Market In 2024. AI has been a mainstay with recruiters, using intelligent technology to identify ideal candidates and weed through applications. In 2024, candidates are changing the game in AI recruitment.

  3. Inflation slowed to a 3.1% annual rate in November. Energy prices experienced a notable decline of 2.3%, contributing to the containment of inflation. Notably, gasoline witnessed a significant drop of 6%, while fuel oil saw a decrease of 2.7%. On the other hand, food prices showed a slight increase of 0.2%.

  4. As the labor market cools, US job openings have reached their lowest point in over two and a half years. This decline in job openings can be attributed to fewer workers resigning, which may ultimately contribute to the alleviation of wage inflation over time.
